All of humanity is diminished when evil is allowed to prevail

I bought this book in Canada and although the kindle version has a few grammatical errors that should be edited out, the value of it's publication cannot be stated highly enough. The story contained is beyond tragic in human terms and highlights once again the lifetime horrors that are so often perpertrated on the most vulnerable in society. The developing mind of a child needs constant nurturing to become balanced and healthy as an adult. The brain does not reach full physical and mental development until well into our twenties and consequently severe abuse and trauma at an early age is life destroying. This book literally screams out a message of injustice. Injustice by the evil rape and abduction by evil men, and the injustice of a socia l culture which allowed her to not be heard by all who should have protected her. At every level this child was let down by the adults surrounding her. We can only hope that this wonderful injured woman and her loving(also deeply injured) family will benefit by the publication of this book. In this(a hopefully more enlightened age) perhaps we as a society can expose the hypocrasy and arrogance that pervaded the medical and criminal justice system at that time and make every individual involved rehink their absconded responsibilities to the child. Maybe the shame that you each should take on can finally put the lifetime of shame she has felt to rest.

I just finished reading this book, and I can tell you it is an emotional experience. Goldie is indeed a brave woman to come out and have her story told. I wish her family peace and love.

While I have not finished the book I feel the need to let other customers know that the purchase for the ebook from Amazon was seamless. I have briefly looked through the book and cannot help but feel deep sadness and emotion for this woman to have gone through this brutal ordeal. You are a very strong person to tell your story and I can only hope that it helps other people to come forward to tell their stories.
